Xbox One news: Battlegrounds PUBG PS4 Pro boost, Xbox One X release update – Express.co.uk
Battlegrounds on Xbox One has been confirmed for release later this year.
While we don’t have a full launch date, Bluehole Inc. and Microsoft have both confirmed their working for release near the end of 2017.
There have been worries that PUBG on Xbox One could see a series of delays, however, it appears that the Preview Program launch is still very much on schedule.
And there could be more good news for Microsoft regarding the exclusivity of game being extended on the Xbox One and Xbox One X.
Sources have told Bloomberg that Bluhole Inc. are in discussions with Microsoft to change how long the game will remain a console exclusive.
So far, we know that PUBG on PS4 is a likely outcome, with Bluehole founder Chang Byung-gyu confirming talks were on with other console companies to bring the game to a larger audience.
However, this will only happen in 2018 and it could be a lot later in some would have predicted.
“South Korea’s Bluehole Inc. has agreed to produce the game for Microsoft first by the end of the year and is likely to give the company a longer period as the solo console, said the people, asking not to be identified because the matter is private,” Bloomberg reports.
“Games are typically offered exclusively for about three months to encourage people to buy a particular console, so Xbox may have the game to itself until the middle of next year or longer.”
And that can only mean good things for the Xbox One X, which launches this November into a buy console market.
