Final Fantasy 7 Remake UPDATE – Nintendo Switch release date boost – Express.co.uk
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is one of the most eagerly anticipated PS4 games, and Nintendo Switch fans have been given a boost on a possible release date.
Fans of the classic Square Enix JRPG had long asked for a remake, and their dreams came true back at E3 2015 when the FF7 Remake was announced.
News of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was greeted with whoops and cheers, with some in the audience looking clearly emotional at the shock news.
Since then updates on the progress of the remake of the iconic PlayStation game have been few and far between.
The game’s director Tetsuya Nomura said there would be radio silence for “a while” on how development for the upcoming Square Enix is progressing.
However, there is one bit of information that has emerged which will surely peak Nintendo Switch owners’ interest.
Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy 15, recently spoke out to clarify some comments – and appeared to make a telling revelation.
He spoke out after fans had been left thinking he had teased a possible Nintendo Switch version of FF15 during a Twitch livestream at Gamescom.
Speaking about the future of the series in the livestream, he said: “We can’t give you any complete solid details at the moment.
“There’s another certain console out there that you may be thinking of, it sounds a little bit like your name Twitch.”
He was later asked about these comments by DualShockers after fans were left hoping Final Fantasy 15 could be heading to the Switch.
